This is what I did today.

And this isn't even done! I've got about 3 more pages of storyboarding to do... (with 12 frames per page)

It's my big project for my portfolio for art college. I'm hoping to get the storyboards finished by Tuesday so I can go into the lab and start working!

Triple Rainbow-- I mean update!

When I first watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone back in who knows what year, but probably around 3rd or 4th grade, I had known about the books but had yet to read them. A baby sitter put the VHS of the movie on for my sister & I, and after the credits ended, I was hooked. I'd go on to see every movie, but I wouldn't pick up the Harry Potter series until 8th grade.

I literally did all those things the first time (and everytime) I read the books. In a span of 2 weeks, I flew through Years 1-6. With the 7th and final book coming out in the summer, I anxiously awaited its premiere and even went to B&N with my friend Julia to wait for its release!

I LOOOOOVED the movie!! Getting aside that there were things missing, I'm totally fine with that since, if you haven't noticed, things have been missing from every movie. That's not a bad thing, though! Time restraints are a big thing in these films, so I understand that not everything can be shown. It doesn't make any of them bad though. Like my friend Sarah has said lots of times, there are additions that were put in the films that were great! Like in this last (oh god, it is the last...) one, when Voldemort says, "Harry Potter... The Boy Who Lived...Come to die." BEST ADDITION EVER. I WISH IT WAS IN THE BOOK!

I totally cried like a baby. The next time I see it I'll probably cry then, too. Alan Rickman was a BOSS in it!! He's always been a fantastic actor, but this time around was all the more amazing and moving given what he had to portray. AHHHHHHH SO GOOD!!

Anyways, here's my triple update because I was preoccupied in all things POTTER! It's not over in my mind. Pottermore will be here soon, and I'll be reading these books and watching the films for the rest of my life.

MY BACKGROUNDS ARE SWEET, YEAH?

PS- Monday's might get pushed to Tuesday since I'll be hanging with the bf and thus be too lazy to make the comic.

20 July 2011

I'm not even keeping count anymore.

WOW THIS HAS BEEN SO AWFUL.

16 DAYS without an update, I'm terrible. I got really wrapped up in all the Potter celebrations & reading, and I really just pushed the comics to the side for it. But, this past month has been really fun with all the Harry Potter hype and excitement, so I can't say I didn't know this would happen.

Anyways, I'll be back up with new comics as soon as they are inked and colored. That takes an annoying amount of time...

My 0.1 Staedtler pigment liner is running low which sucks since that's the one I use for all of the inking... I'll have to wait until October to get new ones. It's lasted for over 2 years, though, which is fantastic. I've been really happy with them, and all the other sizes are still going strong.

Anyways, I'll upload as soon as possible.

That was the weirdest fortune I ever got.

Here's a treat/I'm too lazy to make 3 comics today. A page from my sketch book I did last night as a study on a character I'm creating. WHOO

Happy 4th of July! If the aliens come, we know who to call:
